The Drive to Give Someone a Ride Home

“I need a ride home” is what I’m always requesting when there is some program that I’m interested in attending at my university. I’m not able to drive and the city transportation is very limited in the evening hours.  It makes me feel awkward that I have to entice someone to give me a ride. Other times I decide to forgo the event, because I don’t want to feel like I’m a burden.

“Church Questions”

I have many church questions:

That is my confession

All the things that I was taught since I was little

Seem to be nothing more than a leaf that whittles

Church says they are kind, compassionate, and considerate

But they are opposite in every way-

Cold, cruel, and condemning

They make outsiders feel demeaning

What a bunch of hypocrites!

That’s why I just give up and quit

I still believe in God-

But I don’t believe in the church anymore.

They are nothing more than an eye sore...
