I’m very excited in returning to college to finish getting my English Literature degree! Taking a year off was what I needed to evaluate what I want to do and where I’m going. The biggest decision was to stay at my current college or go somewhere else. Before my leave of absence, there were many changes. Some that were very jarring to me and also I had doubts about my major. I love writing but not technical. But “Time heals all wounds” as they say. And it also lets you digest the change and see it for the better!

I decided to change m major to English Literature. I love reading and analysis the characters and the writer’s writing intent. I guess I’m this way, because I like to evaluate my own writing. I’m a deep thinker and writer. Most literature is deep thinking and not just a face value project. I think this degree will help me to be more creative and appreciation of the power of the writing.

I have decided to stay at my college and finish there. I know I will have to move on one day, but the time is not now. I believe going back will prepare me for somewhere else and a greater purpose.
